Abby and Jamison got married this spring at the Tremont Grand in Baltimore, and it was one fine party. Jamison is a sports writer at The Baltimore Sun, where I used to work, so there were a lot of current and former Sun people there. Here are a few images from their celebration..

Why do I do this?

Pretty much all I've ever learned as a photographer has come from making mistakes, and then studying them so I can avoid making them the next time I shoot. After more than 20 years of taking pictures I've learned a lot (which means I've made a LOT of mistakes) but still have much more that I want to learn. So I try to push myself in new directions each time I go out shooting. I named this light-shoot-print because I think that every new technique you bring in to your workflow should be considered as part of the whole process, and it's important to be aware of how the decisions you make before —and after — you press the shutter button affect the finished product.
